Fair Credit Reporting Act

Fair Credit Reporting Act

If you have been turned down for credit, you must be provided with a copy of your credit report indicating the reason for the rejection. In many cases after you look at your credit report you will find errors. In some cases these errors will be corrected by the credit reporting agency, in others they will not correct the errors. This will cause your credit to suffer, possibly resulting in loan rates that are much higher than if your credit report was error free. We help consumers fix their credit reports, and if needed sue the credit reporting agencies that refuse to correct your credit score.

We have found this to be a big problem regarding our clients who have filed for bankruptcy with our office. In many cases the creditor, or collection agency does not correct your credit report after the bankruptcy is filed. This is then disputed with the credit reporting agency, but in many cases they still do not fix the mistake. This can cost you big money when it comes time to refinance a house, buy a house, or buy a car. If you feel your credit report is not correct we offer a free review to make sure your report is accurate. If you would like more information you can go to www.bolinskelaw.com.
